My strictly vinyl evening (note the lack of ska, punk, and reggae… gotta force myself to break it up now and again).

My super productive day: slept till 1, jam session with former bandmate from way back, wrote in my damn journal, wrote in my damn moleskine nyc notebook, and blogged about last night’s CD release show with hannah vs the many.

REALLY Loving the new They Might Be Giants record. It’s everything I love about TMBG: all over the place, off the wall, catchy, poppy, hooks so polished you can see your face in them. “When Will You Die” also rocks (I was at that show).

They even held a sweet music video contest.

This is why the sun shines. For me. No matter how long I go without listening to them, no matter how far deep into reggae/ska/punk/dub/pop-punk/whatever I get, 10 seconds into a TMBG song and I remember why they’re my favorite band. I’m in 6th grade all over again.
